Exploring the world of vibrant, spicy, curious and lush harmonies in different modes and meters.
The 10 pieces are presented in five pairs each reflecting a distinctive style. The first of each pair is grade 5 and its partner is grade 6 and when each pair is combined as a single piece, the level would be grade 7.
This album is one of four in the graded series, each piece is accompanied by an acoustic recording and information covering musical inspiration and analysis plus performance tips for every piece.

Solo piano, c.4'0
The word "Zardash" dates back to the times of Zarathustra. It is the symbol of the gold disc-like halo - signifying power, brilliance and the sun. The composition is loosely based on the Greek myth of Icarus, in his exultant and dangerous flight towards the sun.
Zardash was written for Aaron McMillan who first recorded and performed the piece in his project: "Arc of Light". Aaron was a well celebrated young Australian pianist who tragically lost his life to a brain tumor in 2007. Audio sample from "Arch of Light" used with permission.
