Solo piano, c.3'22. Grade 8
The piece is based on a brief idea that is being constantly elaborated melodically and harmonically. The melody is being extended at each entry with new bass notes and arpeggios supporting it. The harmonic centre is c-sharp natural minor, and the overall effect is not excessively dissonant.
A great piece to introduce students to more advanced 21st century techniques!
