Peter Hamilton

Peter Hamilton has been a pianist and organist for 50 years, although he did not make music his full-time profession. Interested mainly in choral music, he sang and accompanied the Sydney University Musical Society for several years, and then accompanied several concerts with Macquarie University Singers.
Since his first appointment as a church organist in 1970, he has been Organist at several Sydney churches, including St Martin’s Anglican Church in Killara, and St John’s Uniting Church in Wahroonga.
Since 2010 he has been Organist of St Swithun’s Anglican Church in Pymble, where his choral music is first performed and refined. The choir of St Swithun’s numbers nearly 50, and over the past 20 years it has sung nearly 80 services in eight British Cathedrals.
Peter composes much of his music aboard his motor boat “Duchess”, which is moored on the quiet waters of Cowan Creek
