Paul Ballam-Cross

Paul Ballam-Cross web2Born in 1989, Paul Ballam-Cross is a composer and classical guitarist. He has completed a Bachelor of Music in Performance majoring in classical guitar, and has studied with both Karin and Isolde Schaupp. He has completed a Master of Information Studies, majoring in Librarianship, and is currently studying a Master of Philosophy, majoring in Musicology.
Paul is the co-founder and artistic director of One Two Three Chamber Music, which presents concerts across South-East Queensland.
Paul has an interest in new music, and a desire to expand the classical guitar’s use in contemporary classical music; he has participated in the premiere of several works, and his own compositions are published and recorded by Wirripang. Paul is a regular writer for Limelight Magazine, and he is also a radio presenter on 4MBS’ Daybreak Classics, and The Classical Guitar. As an educator, Paul tutors at Moreton Bay College, and lectures at the University of Queensland.
