R J Stove
R J Stove was born in Sydney but has lived in Melbourne since 2001. He graduated BMus (Hons) from Monash University in 2017, and currently (2020) is completing his PhD in musicology at the Sydney Conservatorium. A regular church and recital organist, he has released two CDs of his playing on the Ars Organi label: The Gates of Vienna (Ars Organi AOR001) and Pax Britannica (Ars Organi AOR002). His biography of César Franck was published by Scarecrow Press (Lanham, Maryland) in 2012. As a composer he has written mostly solo songs and choral works, with a small number of organ works also. The main influences on his style have been Hindemith, Walton, Honegger and Reger.
