Based on the JS Bach Prelude No. 6, from Book 1 of 'The Well-Tempered Clavier'
Cello and piano, MM90 c.7'00; MM80 c.8'00. Grade 6/7
The harmonic structure of the original Bach prelude has been followed - with the length of each chord doubled - and the prelude’s essential rhythmic features (steady left hand beat with triplets in the right hand) have been preserved, all providing an accompaniment to melodies that emerge in both the piano and cello parts.

Of the other two, sattwa embodies all that is pure and fine, the essence of the ideal state to be attained; and tamas is associated with heaviness and resistance, an obstacle to the realisation of sattwa. Rajas is the active principle, embodying restlessness and passion, and is the way in which tamas is overcome.
