Solo piano, c.2'40. Grade 5/6The work moves with an easy, relaxed tempo and the use of rubato is encouraged. Frequent changes in key structure occur and there is a continuing dialogue between the treble and bass lines. The composition is influenced by a folk song "Simple Gifts" but the work has its own character and moves freely with changes in melodic structure, tempo and dynamics. Composed 2016
