This composition is featured in Sofia’s play The Four Accordionists of the Apocalypse. In the story, the character Siegfried Angst, a pianist and composer, feels menaced by the increasing presence of accordions. He composes this piece to try to keep them at bay, yet their influence intrudes with a merry yet menacing waltz, reigned.
