Blue Twist

For solo piano, c.1'20. Level of difficulty Early Grade 4

This piece is essentially blues – yet being twisted around here and there, it takes on a different shape.  The music has all the characteristic chromatic 'blue' notes and harmonic extensions to make it very clearly bluesy in nature, and with the tonal centre on G, the chord progressions to C and D, keep it firmly grounded on the primary chords.
