Tears come in many guises and forms and for many different reasons. Rather than attempt to depict a specific emotion or scenario in which tears might come, the piece is inspired more broadly by and makes an attempt to characterise the phenomena of shedding tears: the silence, solitude, seeping, persistence, ebb, and surging of tears and even the serenity, bitter sweetness, and beauty of it.
