Man in the Hat Feels Festive, The

This piece contains a vivacious joy which is characterised by a colourful jazzy harmonic palette, a lightly propulsive energy and touches of edgy syncopation. A short contrasting section of a few bars contain shifting accents and a change in meter which suggests an underlying sense of ‘longing’ and reflection.
