Piano Toy Piano loves the piano and toy piano.  Not the piano by itself on its black and white keys, but inside the piano, prepared piano, piano, and toy piano combined. A range of toy pianos from different makes, sizes, ranges, and timbres is heard on the CD – including Michelsonne, Schoenhut, and Hape.

The toy piano and prepared piano both trace their concert platform origins to John Cage, the innovative USA composer and performer working in the middle of the 20^th century. The CD Piano Toy Piano takes the instruments, together and alone, into further new sound worlds – some meditative, some connecting to the natural world, reflections on place, some with electronica, some humorous and all evocative.
