This piece for solo piano captures the lively rhythms and upbeat tempo of a vibrant and energetic genre of music, the Brazilian Samba. Percussive and driven chord clusters alternate with meandering melodies set against a syncopated bass line. This renders the music an almost infectious danceable quality, a sense of festivity and celebration associated with Brazilian Carnival music. 
Sambaliscious Sydney! was composed after hearing the sounds of Brazilian drummers and dancers performing an explosively irresistible Brazilian Carnival music  at Circular Quay, Sydney.
