Sleep States Vol. 1

Five solo works for piano.   Intermediate level of difficulty.

Sleep States Volume I is a collection of sparsely set piano works intended for intermediate students, toward the development of interpretation, syncopation, complex chord structures, handspan, dynamic restraint, and sustain pedal harmonics. The player is invited to experiment with rubato and pedal durations, and to listen intently  or, and thus draw out, the lingering harmonics that emerge and echo through the works.
