The Two Rockin’ Girls from Brazil is a happy, playful, bright and energetic piece with driving syncopated samba rhythms, infectious rhythmic collaborations and a strong sense of forward motion and vibrance. It is a celebration of Brazilian culture through the lens of 21st century Australian modernism and multiculturalism, a reflection of a multicultural Australian composer’s fascination with Brazilian music and dance.
